Rules

We are not all about rules or anything, we just think that for everyone's safety and enjoyment some rules are needed.  Those breaking the rules will be asked to leave the ride.

Rules
  1. No riding while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  2. No “wheelies”, “burn-outs”, or other dangerous riding.
  3. All traffic laws are to be obeyed.
  4. All fellow riders and other road traffic are to be treated with respect.
  5. All riders must follow the instructions of the Road Captain in all situations, unless those instructions place the rider or any other individual in an unsafe situation.
  6. All bikes are to be registered, inspected, and in good working order.

Any individual involved in illegal activities may be subject to immediate removal from all club rosters and forbidden to participate in South Shore Rider events or claim any association with the South Shore Riders.

South Shore Riders reserves the right to accept or reject members and to periodically, and without notice, revise or amend rules and regulations where necessary.

General Disclaimer

South Shore Riders is a NON-PROFIT club, engaged in the promotion of fun, friendly, and safe group motorcycle riding activities.  Each participant engages in such activities solely by choice and assumes all risks associated with such activities.  Each participant acknowledges that the operation and use of a motor vehicle, including but not limited to a motorcycle, can be associated with inherent risks which can not be reasonably controlled.  In participating in any event associated with South Shore Riders, each such participant releases, and forever discharges, the South Shore Riders members, any of the event organizers both personally and jointly, and The South Shore Community Church Of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, from and against any and all liabilities resulting from or arising out of the participation in any South Shore Riders event or activity.  This release and discharge of the individual members and organizers (as opposed to South Shore Riders and The South Shore Community Church Of The Christian and Missionary Alliance as organizations) will not apply to liability arising solely out of the negligent operation of a motor vehicle by that particular individual, but will apply to any and all potential or actual liabilities arising from a source other than that individual’s alleged or actual negligent operation of a motor vehicle, including but not limited to any alleged negligence or wrongful conduct in the organization of the event and the conduct of the event itself.  Each participant warrants and represents that he/she will comply with any and all state or local laws and ordinances.  Any personal injury or property damage resulting during a club activity or at any time, becomes the responsibility of the individual parties involved, and at no time shall South Shore Riders, any of the event organizers, and/or The South Shore Community Church Of The Christian and Missionary Alliance be held liable, with the limited exception of the individual liability arising solely out of the negligent operation of a motor vehicle, as set forth above.  This release and discharge is a continuing release and discharge, and will apply to all events and activities engaged in by the participant.

Participation in any South Shore Riders activity constitutes agreement with said rules and release of liability as outlined above.
